Hello there, I am Aysha!
I am the creator, writer and the voice behind Strawberry in the Desert.
Born and brought up in one of the most magnificent cities located in the middle of a desert, Dubai is where I call my home.
Since I was a kid, I have always been the curious one with a zeal to explore and try something new. After turning 15, I found my passion turning towards photography, food and travel.
Shortly, I started an instagram account sharing most of my food adventures inside and outside the kitchen. The amount of love I received from it, is what truly motivated me to bring ‘Strawberry in the Desert’ to life.
I use this space to share my favourite recipes, all of which are tried and tested, some are inspired by the classics while the rest are just my creative take on food.
I love baking, so you’re bound to find a lot of baking ideas here. Also, can you tell I love strawberries? Haha!
A little more about me, I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication in 2019 and has received 3 academic awards for my performance.
I aim at using all the knowledge that I have gained to create a positive impact through stories and pictures that inspire others to try something worth experiencing.
Apart from recipes, I also write feature stories on the best places to explore at, live in and eat around in Dubai as well as lifestyle-based articles and many more related topics which you might find interesting and helpful.
