Chia Pudding: 4 Amazing Ways

I have been trying to consume as many healthy meals as possible in the past few days and Chia Pudding is without a doubt one of the best healthy breakfast options to have right in the morning.

Why? It has many proven benefits including the following below:

  • They have an impressive amount of nutrients including Fiber and Proteins.
  • They are filled with anti-oxidants and high in Omega-3 Fatty Acids.
  • They are low on calories.
  • With the right diet and lifestyle, they can greatly help towards healthy weight loss.

Apart from that list, I also love that it makes for a quick breakfast in the morning that can be easily prepped the night before with barely 10minutes of effort.

Below are my 4 favourite ways to make Chia Pudding and a Bonus idea at the end, they are all very quick and easy and you have to try them out!

Classic Vanilla Chia Pudding

Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp chia seeds

  • 1 cup dairy or non-dairy milk of choice (suggested: Coconut milk, Almond milk)

  • ½ Tbsp liquid sweetener (honey, maple syrup, agave)

  • ½ Tsp vanilla extract

  • Toppings of choice: Fruits, nuts, granola, nut butter etc.)

Directions

  • In a bowl or cup, add and mix together the chia seeds, milk, sweetener and vanilla extract. Stir and then let it sit for 5 minutes. Stir again and refrigerate overnight.
  • In the morning, the pudding will be ready. Add in your choice of toppings and enjoy!

Rich Chocolate Chia Pudding

Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp chia seeds

  • 3 Tbsp cacao/cocoa powder

  • 1 cup dairy or non-dairy milk of choice (suggested: Coconut milk, Almond milk)

  • 2-3 Tbsp liquid sweetener (honey, maple syrup, agave)

  • ½ Tsp vanilla extract

  • Toppings of choice: Fruits, nuts, granola, nut butter etc.)

Directions

  • In a bowl or cup, add and mix together the chia seeds, cocoa/caco, milk, sweetener and vanilla extract. Stir and let it sit for 5 minutes, then stir again until there are no lumps. Refrigerate overnight.
  • In the morning, the pudding will be ready. Add in your choice of toppings and enjoy!

Chia Pudding with Fruit Compote

Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp chia seeds

  • 1 cup dairy or non-dairy milk of choice (suggested: Coconut milk, Almond milk)

  • ½ Tbsp liquid sweetener (honey, maple syrup, agave) + more for compote (as needed)

  • ½ Tsp vanilla extract

  • ½ cup fruit of choice (I suggest mango, berries, peach or cherry)

  • Toppings of choice: Fruits, nuts, granola, nut butter etc.)

Directions

  • In a bowl or cup, add and mix together the chia seeds, milk, sweetener and vanilla extract. Stir and then let it sit for 5 minutes. Stir again and refrigerate overnight. In the morning, the pudding will be ready.
  • Create the fruit compote, by putting the fruit in a saucepan on low flame along with a sweetener of choice. You may skip the sweetener if the fruit you are using is naturally sweet.
  • Keep stirring and lightly smash the fruit. Once it gets a compote consistency, with chunky bits, remove from heat and let it cool.
  • Layer fruit compote with chia seed pudding. add some toppings and Enjoy!

Ombre Chia Pudding

Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp chia seeds

  • 1 cup dairy or non-dairy milk of choice (suggested: Coconut milk, Almond milk)

  • 2 Tbsp liquid sweetener (honey, maple syrup, agave)

  • ½ Tsp vanilla extract

  • 3 Tsp of superfood smoothie powders (like Acai, Spirulina, Beetroot, Pink Pitaya, Matcha etc. )

  • Toppings of choice: Fruits, nuts, granola, nut butter etc.)

Directions

  • In a bowl or cup, add and mix together the chia seeds, milk, sweetener and vanilla extract. Stir and then let it sit for 5 minutes. Stir again and refrigerate overnight.
  • In the morning, the pudding will be ready. Divide the pudding into 3 small bowls.
  • Add 1/2 Tsp coloured superfood powder in one bowl, add 1 Tsp of the same in another bowl and add 1 1/2 Tsp of it in the last bowl. Stir them individually, they need to have a visible colour difference. You may add more powder to enhance the colours, if needed.
  • Transfer the 3 chia puddings into a glass cup with the darkest one below and the lightest one on top. Add toppings and serve.
